Ready to Get There?
Below you will find information about getting from home to Jamaica. There is nothing difficult about it but we thought you’d like to have an idea of what to expect.
1
Filling Out Customs Paperwork
While you are in the air over international waters, flying to Montego Bay, Jamaica- (MBJ) Sangster International Airport, you will need to fill out a customs form. It is important that you know the name and address of the accommodations where you will be staying.

If you've booked at Beaches Negril, you will use the following information:
Beaches Negril Resort and Spa
Negril, Jamaica
2
Going Through Customs
Once you land, you will go directly through customs. Depending on what you have to claim, you will be sent to either a customs officer (red line) or a kiosk (green line). Typically, the green line kiosks are faster but you will not get your passport stamped if you go through this line. 3
Find the Shuttle
Upon exiting customs, you will enter a concourse. There will be airport empolyees to greet you and direct you towards your next step. There is a large lobby to the left marked Sandals. If you are staying at Beaches or Sandals Resorts, you will stop in front of the lobby where your luggage will be tagged and put on a cart. You will be sent into the lobby where you will be able to get yourself an alcoholic beverage (or something virgin if you prefer) and munch on snacks which are all-included, of course. The staff will show you to the shuttle when it is ready, but make sure to take a full beverage or two for the road!
Please note, if you booked with Grand Pineapple or any resort other than Beaches or Sandals, you will need to make travel arrangements from the airport to the resort and back.

On the Drive
The drive from Montego Bay to Jamaica is about an hour and half. Your driver will probably stop for a bathroom break and more drinks along the way. Fair warning, the rules of the road in Jamaica are crazy! Hold onto your seats, you could be in for an exciting ride!
